Antonio Cassano Discusses AC Milan’s Performance
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Antonio Cassano assesses AC Milan need four to five new players to compete in the top flight of Serie A. Cassano is a former Milan striker.
Milan is helpless in the Derby della Madoninna or the Milan Derby against Inter Milan, Sunday (9/22) early morning Western Indonesian Time. Marco Giampaolo’s men lost 0-2 to goals scored by Marcelo Brozovic and Romelu Lukaku.
Giampaolo quibbles experience as the reason behind his team’s defeat. Compared to Inter, Milan’s squad lacks experience.
“Players were too much in doubt at the start of the match, and as the game progressed, Inter Milan showed their experience,” said Giampaolo, launching from Italian Football.
“The goal has opened the Inter Milan deadlock and I am not happy players react with emotions. After that we became disorganized and lacking unity,” he continued.
A different opinion was expressed by Cassano. The former AS Roma and Real Madrid striker rated the character as Milan’s differentiator with Inter. The Nerazzurri, under the care of Antonio Conte, have a high fighting spirit in his game.
“A great opportunity in the match for Milan involves Suso, who has to support (Rafael) Leao,” Cassano told Tiki Taka.
“In my opinion, there are too many differences with Inter in terms of character. I think Inter don’t play well, but with Conte, they have great character,” added the 37-year-old man.
Cassano, who has also played for Inter, believes Milan need four to five new top-quality players to compete in the top flight. The players referred to Cassano are those who have qualified quality, not just players with ‘second class’ quality in Europe.
“Milan needs four to five recruits with really good quality (to compete at the top of the table), if not then it will always be difficult (to compete) with this squad,” concluded Cassano.
