Antonio Conte is Proud to Bring Inter Milan to the 2019-2020 Europa League Final

DBasia.news – Inter Milan performed brilliantly when they defeated Shakhtar Donetsk with a 5-0 score in the 2019-2020 Europa League semi-final at Espirit Arena, Tuesday (18/8). The manager, Antonio Conte, said he was proud of the performances shown by his players.

Inter did appear almost without gaps in this match. The Nerazzurri were effective at taking advantage of opportunities and were disciplined in defense.

Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez appeared as the stars of Inter’s victory by scoring a pair of goals. One other goal was scored by Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Even though he won a landslide victory, Conte considered this match not as easy as imagined. From the start, he was wary of Shakhtar’s game which could come as a surprise.

“We reached the final by beating a very strong team, don’t be fooled by the results. We are good at not letting them play the way they want,” Conte said on the official UEFA website.

“The players are playing exactly as they should be in a competition like this. Even though many of our players are facing matches like this for the first time in their careers.”

The victory over Shakhtar brought Inter to the top of the party. This will be the first European competition final in Conte’s coaching career.

The former Juventus coach certainly doesn’t want to go home empty-handed. But Conte realizes that Sevilla is not an easy opponent to beat.

“Sevilla have had a great experience and have won the competition several times. Now we need to rest, recover and try to give the Inter fans joy,” he added.

“I think Inter fans will be proud of these players, because they gave their heart and soul.”

The meeting between Inter and Sevilla is the ideal final for the Europa League this season. The two of them will beat each other to red the trophy on Saturday (22/8) at the RheinEnergie Stadium.
