Antonio Conte is threatened with severe sanction for being involved in a conflict with the referee

DBasia.news – Antonio Conte is threatened with not being able to accompany Inter Milan for some time after receiving a red card in the match against Udinese in the continued 2020-2021 Serie A. This is because the 51 year old coach was involved in a conflict with the referee.
In the match that took place in Friuli, Sunday (24/1), WIB, Inter had to settle for a 0-0 draw with the hosts. The result made the Nerazzurri fail to match AC Milan’s points at the top of the table.
Conte himself received a red card at the end of the match. He protested the referee’s decision who he considered gave too little extra time in injury time.
Fabio Maresca as the referee in charge did not hesitate to expel Conte and Lele Oriali as Inter manager out of the field. But the problems didn’t stop there.
After the match, Conte and Maresca’s feud continued in the stadium hallway. The two were reportedly involved in an argument which almost turned into a clash.
“You always (harm Inter). Likewise when you are at the VAR table, good work Maresca,” said Conte as quoted by Football Italia.
“You have to accept the fact when your team failed to win,” replied Maresca.
Luckily the situation didn’t get any worse. The Inter players immediately separated Conte and Maresca before things got worse.
The red card that Conte received would normally result in him serving a ban for Inter for one time. But the incident that occurred in the stadium hall could make the Serie A disciplinary commission add to the penalty.
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Conte is likely to be suspended for more than one match. His actions in the stadium hallway could be considered a serious offense.
If this happened, it would be a loss for Inter. Even though La Beneamata’s chance to win the Scudetto this season was wide open after being eliminated from European competition.
