Antonio Conte Makes Jurgen Klopp an Example for Inter Milan’s Future Projects

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Inter Milan is building an ambitious project. The Nerazzurri want to be competitive again in Serie A and Europe. Manager Antonio Conte is part of this project.

In his first season at Inter, Conte has shown positive progress. He led the Nerazzurri to finish in second place in the final standings of the 2019-2020 Serie A season.

It didn’t stop there, the Blue-Black squad qualified for the Europa League final. Unfortunately in the top match, Romelu Lukaku and colleagues were beaten by Sevilla.

It looks like Inter are starting to show their strength. But Conte hurriedly lowered the expectations of the Inter fans. He admitted his team was on a positive path. However, he asked for patience from all parties if he wanted a trophy.

“We have to continue to work hard. But we need to see Liverpool in the Juergen Klopp era as an example. They did not win anything in the first four years. Now they are fighting machines,” Conte said in a press conference as quoted by Football Italia, Saturday (24/10).

His statement doesn’t mean he doesn’t want the leap. He always asks his troops to appear 110 percent when competing. However, sometimes there are challenges that cannot be avoided. One of them is the corona virus pandemic.

Inter Milan has also fallen victim to the corona virus outbreak. A number of Inter players were absent because they had to isolate themselves. As a result, Inter failed to win in the last three matches in various competitions.

But Conte didn’t want to find excuses. He considered that the tragedy that befell them still has its positive value.

“Many can play and gain experience because there are several absences,” concluded the former Chelsea manager.
