Antonio Rudiger opens up about the news of leaving Chelsea

DBasia.news – Antonio Rudiger has finally spoken up regarding rumors of his departure from Chelsea. He confirmed that the final decision is in the hands of the management of the Blues.
Rudiger transformed into a mainstay center back for Chelsea under the tutelage of Thomas Tuchel. He was instrumental in the London club’s success in winning the Champions League and Club World Cup.
The problem emerged as Rudiger’s contract will expire at the end of this season. Chelsea’s efforts to extend his contract came to a deadlock.
These conditions has made many big clubs start to tempt Rudiger. Real Madrid and Manchester United are among those interested in signing him for free next summer.
Even so, Rudiger turned out to still make Chelsea a priority. His chances of staying longer at Stamford Bridge are still open.
“I feel great here and always say so. I’m playing. You can see that I’m happy here from the way I play,” Rudiger told Athletic.
“But there are also other people who have to make decisions.”
Rudiger always appears all-out in every game. He has frequently helped attack when Chelsea needed a win.

Salary issues are the main obstacle to Rudiger’s contract extension. The German player is not satisfied with the salary increase offered by Chelsea.
In his new contract proposal, it is said that Rudiger will receive a wage of £140,000 per week. The amount is up £40 thousand from what he currently receives.
But with Chelsea’s contributions and achievements over the past year, Rudiger demands more. He wants to be paid £200 thousand per week.
Rudiger feels that he deserves to be aligned with other Chelsea stars. Now the club owned by Roman Abramovich is pressed for time to determine the fate of the 28-year-old player.
