Arsenal 3-2 Liverpool: The Gunners made it to the top of the standings

DBasia.news – Arsenal have managed to stop their poor record against Liverpool. Having previously lost in their last four meetings, Arsenal managed to win 3-2 over Liverpool at the Emirates Stadium.
For this match Liverpool maintained the formation that was revealed in the Champions League match in the middle of the week. Meanwhile the hosts played their first team.
Less than one minute into the game, Arsenal immediately managed to score the opening goal in the first minute created by Gabriel Martinelli who utilizes Martin Odegaard’s breakthrough bait.

In the second half, Arsenal immediately took the initiative to attack. In the 50th minute Odegaard released a shot, but it was still too easily secured by Alisson.
Liverpool got their first chance in the second half. The opportunity was successfully converted into a goal by Roberto Firmino, who came on at the end of the first half to replace the injured Luis Diaz.
Receiving a ball from Diego Jota, Firmino fired a cross that Aaron Ramsdale was unable to stop. The score returned to a 2-2 draw.
Again losing the advantage, Arsenal are increasingly active in attacking Liverpool’s defense area. However, Arsenal’s sporadic attacks have not been able to complicate the opponent’s goal.
Arsenal’s persistence finally paid off. The pressure sent Liverpool back into a frenzy and rrsulted in a mistake which caused a penalty for the hosts in the 76th minute.
The penalty was awarded after the referee saw that Thiago dropped Gabriel Jesus. Bukayo Saka, who became the executioner of the penalty, successfully carried out his duties perfectly.
The 3-2 result lasted until the game was over. Thanks to this victory Arsenal rose to the top of the standings shifting Manchester City. Meanwhile, Liverpool are in tenth position in the Premier League standings.
