By db-admin

DBasia.news – The Brazilian forward is poised to become the Gunners’ third signing of the summer after Marquinhos and Fabio Vieira.

Arsenal have agreed with Manchester City to redeem Gabriel Jesus for £45m ($55m), as the north London club have also managed to reach agreement on a contract, Goal can confirm.

The Gunners have been negotiating with City for weeks over the transfer of the Brazil international, who Mikel Arteta has identified as his priority target to improve his attacking options this summer.

An agreement between the two clubs was reached on Friday (24/6) before Arsenal agreed with the player himself on Sunday (26/6).

The two clubs have now agreed a transfer fee and Arsenal are moving quickly to finalize personal terms with the 25-year-old.

Now it’s just a matter of time before the transfer is officially announced.

Arsenal will seek to finalize the formalities of the deal quickly to ensure Jesus can join the tour group to the United States.

The club, who reside at the Emirates Stadium, have so far signed Porto midfielder Fabio Vieria and Brazilian youngster Marquinhos, as well as trying to sign Leeds United winger Raphinha.

The forward has scored 58 goals and provided 29 assists in the league since joining Manchester City in 2016/17.

He arrived as a teenager and went on to win four Premier League titles, three League Cups and one FA Cup.

His figure began to be excluded from the blue Manchester club following the arrival of Erling Haaland and Julian Alvarez.
