Arsenal Are Still Behind Tottenham on New Players
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Gabriel Agbonlahor observed Arsenal’s transfer, which he said was moving massively. Although Arsenal still lost to Tottenham Hotspur who also recruited many new players.
Arsenal were fifth in the Premier League standings last season. Mikel Arteta’s troops failed to shift Tottenham Hotspur who was in fourth position.
To close the gap, Arsenal brought in a number of new players. Marquinhos, Matt Turner, Fabio Vieira, and Gabriel Jesus are some of the names that came up. In addition, there is still Oleksandr Zinchenko who is rumored to be joining.
However, the arrival of these players was not enough. Agbonlahor argues, because other teams are also strengthening themselves.
“For Arsenal, this is a big statement by signing Gabriel Jesus. However, they still need more effort,” Agbonlahor told Talksport.
“There’s talk of Zinchenko, who I think would be a good signing, a great addition. He’s versatile, but maybe they need another right winger to back up Bukayo Saka because Nicolas Pepe hasn’t done it yet.”
“These teams know that they need to keep improving their squad because it will be increasingly challenging to compete in the top four. Arsenal don’t want to be left behind,” he added.
“They want to bring in top players, because Spurs do the same. Spurs have a good window so it will be more difficult this season to get in the top four.”
Arsenal won two games in pre-season. After arresting Nurnberg, it was Everton’s turn to be defeated by a score of 2-0.
