Arsenal vs Valencia
DBasia.news – The Arsenal striker duo, Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, performed brilliantly when delivering their team to beat Valencia 3-1 in the first Europa League semi-final match at Emirates Stadium, London.
Lacazette scored two goals and Aubameyang added with one goal to bring Arsenal ahead despite falling behind Valencia through Mouctar Diakhaby’s goal.
The host had died earlier through a Valencia goal scored by Diakhaby in the 11th minute. The French Legion managed to jump the highest to complete a header from Rodrigo Moreno who forwarded a corner by Dani Parejo.
Lacazette managed to equalize when he received feedback from Aubameyang and fired a shot into the no-man’s goal.
Arsenal then turned to hold the advantage when Lacazette managed to score his second goal with a header by welcoming Granit Xhaka’s measured cross in the 25th minute.
The ball had tried to be driven away by the Net goalkeeper by banging it against the goalpost, but instead bounced past the goal line and goals confirmed the goal line technology printed on the referee Clement Turpin’s watch. Arsenal two, Valencia one.
Lacazette had the chance to complete the hat-trick achievement in the 63rd minute, but he was unable to meet a cross from Aubameyang’s post which was finally swept aside by Jose Gaya.
Four minutes later, Neto made a brilliant save to dispel Lacazette’s golden opportunity with his foot and when the throwing ball fell struck by Aubameyang he only ended up being a corner.
Both teams continued to look for additional goals before the game ended and Arsenal became the party who managed to do it. Right into the first minute of injury time, a gastric pass to the far pole area released by Sead Kolasinac was completed by Aubameyang to ensure Arsenal’s victory was 3-1 over Valencia.
