DBasia.news – Arsenal won big with four goals without reply to Newcastle United in the 26th week of the English League 2019-2020, at the Emirates Stadium, London, Sunday (02/16/2020) night Western Indonesian Time.
Arsenal made three substitutions compared to the last match against Burnley. Eddie Nkeitah got the chance to appear since the early minutes.
The two teams exchanged attacks in the first 10 minutes. Newcastle relies on the speed of the winger to press. Meanwhile, Mesut Ozil became the mastermind of the Gunners attack.
However, the defense of the two teams performed well. Both teams are equally difficult to dismantle each other’s defenses.
Arsenal almost opened the scoring in the 38th minute. Dani Ceballos sent a mature pass into the penalty box to Nkeitah. However, the attacker’s efforts can still be countered by Martin Dubravka.
The tempo of the match increased five minutes before the first half was over. Dubravka returned to be the host hero after thwarting the efforts of Nicolas Pepe.
In the 44th minute, the Magpies turn to endanger the Arsenal goal. Individual action by Allan Saint-Maximin made the Gunners’ defense exposed. Unfortunately, the player’s shot from a tight angle is still wide. Scores of glasses decorate the first half.
After the interval, Arsenal immediately steps on the gas. The Gunners opened the scoring with a header from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the 54th minute. Aubameyang completes Pepe’s bait well.
Conceding one goal makes the Newcastle defense swayed. The result, Arsenal widened the distance to 2-0 in the 57th minute.
Bukayo Saka can pass Valentino Lazaro and Miguel Almiron on the flanks. Then, he gave a sweet pass which Pepe completed into a goal.
Winning two goals, Arsenal did not relax the attack. Mikel Arteta’s squad again got a chance in the 67th minute. However, kicking Aubameyang still hit the goalpost.
Newcastle who tried to pursue victory again conceded at the end of the fight. Ozil close-range shot into the Dubravka goal.
In the 90th minute + 5, Arsenal increasingly had the upper hand after Alexandre Lacazette panning goals. Lacazette’s long-distance strike is nested in the top corner of the Newcastle goal. Arsenal closed the match with a 4-0 advantage.
Despite winning, Arsenal’s position in the standings did not change much. The Gunner finished 10th with 34 points.
