Arsenal have hope In Gabriel Martinelli
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Oleksandr Zinchenko praised his Arsenal team-mate, Gabriel Martinelli, saying the Brazilian player had a “tremendous future”.
Martinelli has always scored in each of the Gunners’ victories over Crystal Palace and Leicester City. He also finished last season with four goal involvements in his last five appearances.
Meanwhile, Zinchenko started his career with Arsenal on a positive note, starting both games and providing an assist against Palace.
“He’s amazing, he’s a gem,” Zinchenko told Standard Sport. “I would say the same about him as I said about Gabriel Jesus.
“The way these two guys play, and how it all works, is just incredible. He (Martinelli) has fantastic quality and he is still young. I’m pretty sure he has a great future.”
Zinchenko also praised the start of the season for Jesus, who joined Arsenal from Manchester City alongside the Ukrainian this summer.
“I never doubted him, because he is a world class player judging from his contribution,” he added.
“You can see it also in the way he works and his attitude every day in training. He is an example. He’s an extraordinary player, always hungry for goals. He didn’t stop and I’m very happy for him.”
So far this season Zinchenko has been more reliable than Kieran Tierney, who is back to full fitness after a knee injury.
“He is an extraordinary player. Even when I’m at City, I watch the games,” he said of Tierney.
“I think it’s a good competition for each of us. We’re going to push each other, and I think that’s the key. That’s how we need to move on. The most important thing is that we both want to try and help the team as much as we can.”
There is also the possibility of the two players being deployed together as Zinchenko is capable of playing in midfield.
