Arsenal Legend Reap Criticism after Giving Ideas about Bundesliga Continuation
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal legend Jens Lehmann gave advice that most people would find difficult to accept for the scheduled Bundesliga rollout which took place on May 9, 2020. Lehmann suggested the audience remained in the stadium even though the corona virus was still a pandemic.
The Bundesliga was planned to continue the competition on May 9th, 2020 and become the only European top league to start the competition, although the corona virus has not completely disappeared.
The Bundesliga obviously would not carelessly continue the league, because there are protocols that must be followed by clubs, including coronavirus test for players. There is even a chance that matches will be held without spectators inside the stadium.
But Lehmann thought differently. The 50-year-old man has the extreme idea of playing a match with an audience as much as 25 percent of capacity in the stadium. It is believed to be able to maintain the economic stability of the team and not violate social distancing rules.
“I have never heard a counter argument that makes sense. If only every fourth seat is filled, there is enough space between them,” Lehmann said to Bild.
“Anyone who violates the distance rules will be kicked out and banned from the stadium. In general, I think the statement (Bundestag president) Mr Schauble is good: we have to start again so the economy survives.”
“That applies to all economic sectors, including the Bundesliga,” said the 61 caps with the German national team.
Lehmann also admitted to being infected by the corona virus in mid-March, but his condition has now improved after undergoing two weeks of quarantine.
“Yes, I was infected (corona virus) in mid-March and suffered cough and mild fever for one and a half day,” Lehmann added.
“After two weeks of quarantine, the authorities declared me healthy again. That was easier than with the flu. But of course people at risk should be careful. It might also help to live a healthy life naturally,” he concluded.
