Arsenal Lose Shkodran Mustafi until the Start of the 2020-21 Season
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi has been ruled out at the start of the 2020-2021 Premier League season due to injuries he’s suffering. Until the start of the season, Mustafi will focus on his recovery.
Arsenal’s official website on Wednesday (29/7) announced that Mustafi successfully underwent a minor surgery to overcome the right hamstring injury he suffered. It’s just that the German defender will undergo recovery with a fairly long duration and is scheduled to return to the training session with his colleagues in October.
As such, Mustafi was not only absent from the FA Cup final against Chelsea at Wembley on August 1st, but also when Arsenal start the new season.
Mustafi was injured in the FA Cup semi-final match on July 18th, when Arsenal could surprisingly knock out the defending champion Manchester City 2-0.
The FA Cup Final is the only path left for Mikel Arteta’s team to be able to appear in European competition next season.
Because, Arsenal only finished eighth in the final standings of the 2019-2020 Premiere League Season with a collection of 56 points or three points adrift of the European zone.
