Arsenal Requested by Robert Pires to be patient to Unai Emery

DBasia.news –  Arsenal legend Robert Pires has asked his fans and former club to be patient with Unai Emery, although last season failed to penetrate the Champions League zone and failed to win the trophy.

Despite the failure to enter the Champions League zone, Emery, with limited resources, was able to bring Arsenal to the Europa League final and play attractive football.

Just as when Arsenal trusted Arsene Wenger when he appointed him in 1996 – then trained until 2018, they also had to be patient and believe in Emery, former PSG coach (Paris Saint-Germain).

“Everything must start slowly. The manager is currently Unai Emery. I think he has had a very good season. In the first season, the situation was difficult because fans and the media compared him to Arsene Wenger,” Pires told Goal.

“And unfortunately, we lost in the final (Europa League) against Chelsea. But, I think he’s a good manager for Arsenal.”

“We have to say ‘Okay, you have time – maybe you can build a team next season.’ And the most important thing is to trust the manager,” concluded Pires.
