DBasia.news – Arsenal are in good momentum in the Premier League. Now, the Gunners are top of the standings with 27 points from 10 matches, 4 points adrift of Manchester City.
Mikel Arteta also has the squad he wishes for, so Arsenal are able to play the way he wants. Arsenal are also named as one of the candidates to win the Premier League, plus Arsenal are also still competing in the Europa League, League Cup and FA Cup.
However, like other clubs, Arsenal are also open to accepting new players to lift the team’s performance. As recently linked with Arsenal, namely defender who plays at Eintracht Frankfurt, Evan Ndicka.
Arsenal need additional players and according to Standard Sports, Ndicka is a target to layer Gabriel Magalhaes as a left-footed centre-back. The 23-year-old player’s contract also expires with Frankfurt in 2023.
If there is no development of the contract situation, Frankfurt will have to sell him in January 2023 or release him for free at the end of the season. Arsenal are not alone as Juventus are also targeting Ndicka.
Arsenal had originally targeted Lisandro Martinez when he strengthened Ajax Amsterdam, but Martinez chose to reunite with Erik ten Hag and join Manchester United. Arsenal’s hunt continues.
Ndicka has defended Frankfurt since 2018 after leaving Auxerre. After four years in Germany, the performance of the French player has grown rapidly. Ndicka can be a competitor option as well as Gabriel’s coating.
Arsenal originally had Pablo Mari but he was loaned to Monza and could leave permanently as Mari was not part of Mikel Arteta’s plans. Ndicka has appeared in France at a young age from U16 to U21. So far Ndicka has played in 16 matches in all competitions for the 2022-2023 season with Frankfurt.
