DBasia.news – Two goals from Granit Xhaka and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s penalty last weekend helped Arsenal win 2-0 against their rivals in the Premier League, Manchester United, in the 30th week, Sunday (10/3) evening at Emirates Stadium.
Arsenal midfielder, Aaron Ramsey, has an interesting assessment regarding Arsenal’s performance. According to him, the London Cannon is still adapting to understand Unai Emery’s football philosophy, after being trained 22 years by Arsene Wenger.
“We have a new manager coming up with new ideas and now has become the season for process of adaptation on certain things, what he wants (Emery) from us and sometimes, everything works or not – this is an adaptation process,” said Ramsey, quoted from Sky Sports.
“I am just happy we won the match and we put ourselves in a good position to end the season, and hopefully we get a place in the top four,” hoped the Welsh midfielder.
The midfielder who will leave for Juventus also gave praise to Aubameyang. The Gabonese striker dared to take a penalty and scored a goal, having previously failed to score a goal from the white spot while going up against Tottenham Hotspur (drawing 1-1).
“That (Aubameyang penalty) needed a lot of courage from him, but he was a very confident man. He was a little disappointed after failing to score a penalty in the last game,” added Ramsey.
“He has shown a great character today to step forward (to take a penalty) and score goals calmly. Everyone is talking about it and we are happy to come out with a victory,” he concluded.
