Arsenal targets Gianluca Scamacca

DBasia.news – The sector that Mikel Arteta wants to strengthen is Arsenal’s front line, this season’s transfer market, the Gunners are also reportedly targeting Manchester City striker, Gabriel Jesus, but they are also preparing other alternatives and he is Sassuolo striker, Gianluca Scamacca.
The 23-year-old forward has scored 16 goals in 36 Serie A games this season and was called up by Roberto Mancini to the Italy squad. Naturally, if Serie A club, Inter Milan are also targeting Scamacca.
Inter had their eyes on him but due to rumors linking them with Paulo Dybala and Romelu Lukaku, the transfer regarding Scamacca was discontinued. Arsenal also tried to take advantage of it.
Reportedly Calciomercato Arsenal made an offer to Sassuolo at an opening price of €35 million. That is still less than the desire of Giovanni Carnevali, President of Sassuolo, who priced Scamacca of €40 million plus bonuses.
The negotiations will continue. The reason is that Arsenal need a center forward after being left by Alexandre Lacazette who returned to Olympique Lyonnais, while Eddie Nketiah’s contract issue has not ended.
Scamacca is the centre-forward Arsenal need. Although only limited to playing in Serie A, Scamacca, according to Whoscored, has strength in aerial duels and finishing. He likes to catch the ball but on the one hand he still has to improve his ability to hold the ball, a task that a target man should be able to do.
