DBasia.news – The Gunners secured the leading position of Group E 2018-2019 Europa League. Six matches have gone but Arsenal continue the unbeaten record of all competitions.
Unai Emery could flexibly send his squad because Arsenal are just having the formality match against Qarabag. The Gunners have qualified since the 13 points achievement before the match.
Consequently, some substitute players performed for Arsenal, including Carl Jenkinson, Emiliano Martinez, and Laurent Koscielny.
Interestingly, that was the first match for Laurent Koscielny with Arsenal throughout this season. Koscielny was absent for 224 days due to injury.
At the same time, the last match of Laurent Koscielny was in the Europa League. At that time, Arsenal played against Atletico Madrid in the semifinal round.
Laurent Koscielny played for 72 minutes in that match. Nacho Monreal substituted him to give the French defender a break.
Alexandre Lacazette was the only goal scorer in that match. Using the passing from Mesut Ozil, the French striker wrote his name on the scoreboard at 16′.
The victory makes Arsenal collected 16 points from 6 matches. That’s the same achievement as Chelsea and just behind Salzburg and Frankfurt.
Besides that, the victory over Qarabag extended the unbeaten record of Arsenal in all competitions. Currently, The Gunners are unbeaten in 22 recent matches.
The number consists of 17 victories and 5 draws. Chelsea are the last match who could counter Arsenal’s performance.
This is the best for Arsenal since November 2007. At that moment, The Gunners scored the unbeaten record of all competitions for 28 matches.
