Arsenal vs PSV Eindhoven postponed
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal’s match against PSV Eindhoven in the 2022-2023 Europa League Group A continuation has finally been officially postponed. This was announced directly by UEFA.
Initially, the Arsenal vs PSV duel would be held at the Emirates Stadium, Friday (16/9). However, due to the postponement, it is still unknown when the match will take place.
The reason for the postponement of the match was due to security concerns. London police officers are fully focused on securing Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral procession.
Queen Elizabeth II died at her residence, Balmoral Castle, Scotland on Thursday (8/9). She died at the age of 96 years old.
The United Kingdom has determined that Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral will be held on September 19, 2022. She will be buried at Westminster Abbey, London.
“This is due to limited police resources and organizational issues related to the ongoing events surrounding the national mourning for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II,” UEFA said in a statement on its website.
Previously, the match Arsenal versus Everton in the English Premier League last weekend was also postponed. Competition operators have decided to postpone all games of the seventh week in honor of the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
Arsenal won their first Europa League match this season. The Gunners beat FC Zurich with a score of 2-1 at the AFG Arena Stadium, Thursday (8/9).
