DBasia.news – Arsenal has not ended their transfers in the transfer market this summer. Reportedly, they had prepared a dowry of 60 million euros to try to bring in Dayot Upamecano, the RB Leipzig center back.
Arsenal was dubbed as one of the economical clubs in the transfer market. Understandably, at that time the Gunners allocated more clubs to build stadiums.
Now, Arsenal are free from the budget to build the stadium. Not surprisingly, Arsenal’s transfer market has starting to squirm.
Arsenal have just made a surprise by recruiting Ligue 1 star, Nicolas Pepe. Not half-heartedly, the Gunners spent 80 million euros for the 24-year player. Although paid in installments for five seasons, the amount of 80 million euros is an anomaly in the Gunners’ transfer market.
Apparently, Arsenal will not stop their activities in the transfer market. Arsenal are running faster as the Premier League transfer market has reached its end.
Arsenal manager, Unai Emery, appreciates that at the moment his team still has a weak sector. Yes, Arsenal has not made any major changes to the defense post. In fact, last season that position became one of the shortcomings of the Gunners.
Indeed, Arsenal have brought in defender, William Saliba. However, Arsenal immediately released Saliba to his home club, Saint-Etienne.
Now, Arsenal has turned to RB Leipzig’s young defender, Dayot Upamecano. Based on the circulating news, Arsenal’s offer has reached 60 million euros.
However, the offer did not satisfy Leipzig. The Bundesliga club wants to at least receive a maximum of 75 million euros as compensation for the sale of Dayot Upamecano.
The value of 75 million euros will be very heavy for Arsenal’s finances. Another option chosen by Arsenal is Juventus defender, Daniele Rugani.
