Arsenal’s difficulty to realize Mykhaylo Mudryk’s transfer

DBasia.news – Lavish transfers made by rivals are expected to threaten Arsenal’s efforts to secure the signature of talented Shakhtar Donetsk star, Mykhaylo Mudryk.
Two years ago, Manchester City did not hesitate to spend 100 million pounds to bring in Jack Grealish from Aston Villa. At the start of this season, Manchester United were willing to spend up to 81 million pounds for an Antony.
The problem is, Arsenal’s 55 million pounds offer for Mudryk was rejected by Shakhtar as this top Ukrainian club felt that their valuable asset was “greater” than Grealish and Antony, so it had to be redeemed with a fee that exceeded the two players.
“As we always say, dealing with Mudryk, you need to make special offers,” Shakhtar sporting director Carlo Nicolini told Calciomercatoit.
“Arsenal may make such an offer, but there are negotiations. The players have already been sold, which the club does want to sell, and we believe that there is no one better than Mudryk for around 100 million euros, so 60 million euros is not enough,” he explained.
“I’m not the one who made the amount, I have no specific indication from the company, but the sporting director said that we need a special offer closer to Grealish than Antony. If the amount is 40 million euros, it will definitely not be considered,” he added.
Arsenal are currently busy looking to replace striker Gabriel Jesus who has been sidelined for several months after undergoing knee surgery following his involvement in the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
Mudryk is a big hit with Arsenal, with him this season having scored 11 goals in 19 appearances, including three goals in the Champions League. However, the trend of transfers at crazy prices in England has made Shakhtar reluctant to let Mudryk go if the dowry offered is not above average.
