DBasia.news – The famous manager who once graced the Premier League, Arsene Wenger, denied the issue of training Newcastle United. Wenger claimed he was not ready to return to training soon.
Arsene Wenger parted ways with Arsenal at the end of the 2017-2018 season. This condition also ended the 22-year leadership period of the French manager.
Since then Arsene Wenger is practically unemployed because he has not received an offer that came to him. Wenger decided to take a break from football first.
Now, the name Arsene Wenger is again linked to a club, precisely Newcastle. Incidentally, The Magpies are looking for a new manager after the death of Rafael Benitez.
Even so, Arsene Wenger claimed not to be interested in returning to training. At the same time, the 69-year-old manager brushed aside the possibility of becoming a manager in the Premier League.
“I am not ready to train in the near future. Compared to one year ago, I was more open with offers. However, I cannot say that I will return to training in two or three days,” Arsene Wenger said.
“I took a short break and enjoyed it. Before, I worked for 35 years without resting. This made me want to take a break.
“Actually, I want to continue my career in England because the Premier League is the best competition. But it is difficult for me because I have long handled the club there,” he continued.
Arsene Wenger presented a total of 10 trophies while handling Arsenal. The number consists of three Premier League titles and seven FA Cup trophies.
