DBasia.news – Arsenal right-back, Hector Bellerin is currently in the vortex of transferring players with interest (Paris Saint-Germain). However, this did not deter his intentions for English club, Forest Green Rovers.

As quoted from the Mirror, Bellerin is the second largest shareholder of Forest Green Rovers, a League Two club. Of course the Spanish player has a reason to choose Green Rovers as his place to invest.

The unique environment around the club is the reason Bellerin chose them. Green Rovers is very supportive of the world greening campaign by applying technology around the clubs that support it. Green Rovers has been praised by FIFA and the United Nations as the greenest football club in the world.

Under Green Rovers President, Dale Vince, the club’s UK green energy industrialist developed eco-friendly environments such as solar panels at the New Lawn stadium, as well as creating the first organic football field.

As well as Bellerin Rovers is also a vegetarian. Bellerin has been interested in Rovers since meeting them in a friendly match against Arsenal in 2014.

“When I first played Forest Green Rovers, all I knew about them was that it was far from London!” said Bellerin.

“When I heard more about the club and its work, I knew that I wanted to meet them and be a part of it. So many people feel there is no solution to the world’s problems, but Forest Green has done a lot and shown others the way.”

“I am thrilled to be part of the FGR family. I will help as much as I can, support people who want to change the world for the better,” said the player who has also studied at the La Masia academy.

Last season Rovers finished 10th in League Two under Mark Cooper. Most of the players in their squad are dominated by English players, while the non-British players are: Ebou Adams, Aaron Collins, Nicky Cadden, Jamille Matt, Lewis Thomas and Vaughn Covil.
