DBasia.news – Atletico Madrid are reportedly looking to bring in AC Milan midfielder, Hakan Calhanoglu as a free agent at the end of this season, quoted from the US. Calhanoglu’s contract expires in the summer of 2021.
The Turkish international player will have his contract expire and conversations to extend his stay in Milan become more complicated, according to reports in Italy. Although the former Bayer Leverkusen star wants to stay at Milan, reportedly his agent has already offered him to several top European clubs.
Calhanoglu has a contract of 2.5 million euros per year at the San Siro. He reportedly asked for an increase of 5 million euros, as quoted by the Italian Football, Wednesday (11/11).
There are several other reports in Italy that claim he demanded to be paid between 6 million and 6.5 million euros per year.
Manchester United have also been linked with Calhanoglu. The 26-year-old player could leave Milan in January if the Rossoneri fail to reach an agreement to extend his stay at the club.
