Awaiting Christian Pulisic’s career revival at Chelsea.

By db-admin

Chelsea are ready to face a new era under the ownership of Todd Boehly who replaces Roman Abramovich and also Graham Potter who replaces Thomas Tuchel as coach of the Blues.

The new start is also a positive sign for several players whose form has declined before, one of which has the potential to revive his career is Christian Pulisic.

Pulisic’s case with Tuchel is quite unique. The two have worked together at Borussia Dortmund, but that’s no guarantee that their relationship would work out considering what Pulisic has to say about Tuchel.

“What happened before that game was disappointing for me,” Pulisic wrote in his forthcoming book “Christian Pulisic: My Journey So Far”, he talked about his relationship with Tuchel.

“I had a great first leg (Champions League) performance and the next game was against Fulham in the league. Tuchel told me he rested me for the second leg and as a result I didn’t play a minute in the Fulham game.”

“Then on the day of the second semi-final match, Tuchel told me he had changed his mind and he would go for Kai (Havertz). To be honest I was stunned and very disappointed. I thought I got a start and, most importantly, he had convinced me beforehand that I will start,” he explained.

Tuchel has left and Chelsea are now being coached by Potter. Former United States national team goalkeeper, Brad Friedel, hopes Pulisic can revive his career under the English coach.

“From the point of view of American fans, I want Pulisic to play more, and I want him to do well in the World Cup. He might really benefit from the departure of Thomas Tuchel, because things didn’t go well in his playing hours on the pitch.” Said Friedel to Betway.

“Again, I don’t know what Graham Potter thinks of him, but he’s a new head coach so he’s going to give him a chance. I’m sure that at some stage. But he’s probably one of the players who really benefited from a managerial change.”

So far Pulisic has appeared eight times in all competitions without a goal or assist record.
