DBasia.news – Barcelona managed to score five goals when they hosted Real Betis on Saturday (07/11). The Spanish League match between Barcelona and Real Betis ended with a score of 5-2.
The course of the match
Lionel Messi was reserved for the first time at Barcelona since September 2019. Ronald Koeman played with the 4-3-3 tactics and relied on Ousmane Dembele, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati as the trident up front.
Meanwhile, Manuel Pellegrini at Real Betis played 4-3-3 tactically by relying on Joaquin, Antonio Sanabria and former Barcelona player, Cristian Tello up front.
It has only been 10 minutes since the match at Camp Nou was opened with attacks from the two clubs. Marc-Andre ter Stegen served Sergio Canales’ corner that headed for William Carvalho, while Barca’s chance from Fati was pushed over by Claudio Bravo.
However, in the 22nd minute Barca took the lead. Griezmann’s connection with Dembele led to a goal against Bravo’s Betis. Dembele’s left-foot kick was not pushed over by Bravo. Barca 1-0 ahead.
Barca had a chance to double their advantage in the 31st minute when Aissa Mandi dropped Fati in the forbidden box. However, Griezmann failed to score from the spot after his shot was pushed over by Bravo.
Ahead of halftime Barcelona missed at the back. Sergio Canales sent in a low cross which Antonio Sanabria strikes in the 45 + 2 ‘. As a result, the match ended in a 1-1 draw in the first half.
Koeman played Messi early in the second half to replace Ansu Fati and he immediately stepped up Barca’s game. It wasn’t until the second half, three minutes in that Barca was back ahead. Griezmann scored to make up for his penalty in the first half.
Starting from Jordi Alba’s cross, the ball went to Messi and La Pulga left it until the ball was kicked by Griezmann into Betis’ goal. 2-1 Barca back ahead in the 49th minute.
The misfortune increased for Betis as in the 60th minute Mandi received a yellow card after touching the ball with his hand in the forbidden area. This time the penalty was not wasted by Messi. 3-1 Barca away.
A number of substitutions after Messi’s goal. Koeman played Trincao in place of Dembele and Pellegrini brought on Aitor Ruibal, Victor Ruiz and Loren Moron.
Barca’s defense was off guard on the 73rd minute. They failed to prevent a goal from Moron, who had just entered when he received a low cross from Betis left-back, Alberto Moreno. Betis narrowed the gap by 2-3 despite playing with 10 players.
However, Betis’ resistance was ended by the next two goals scored by Barcelona. In the 82nd minute Messi received Sergi Roberto’s backheel pass and calmly hits Betis’ goal, then the next goal came in the 90th minute.
Again Roberto became a goal creator with his assist to the penalty box and was greeted by Pedri. The former Las Palmas player scored his first LaLiga goal this season. Barcelona closed the match with a 5-2 goal feast over Betis.
