Barcelona Continues to Aim for Neymar in 2020

By db-admin

DBasia.news –  In the end the summer transfer market in Europe has come to an end, Neymar did not leave PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) and joined his former club, Barcelona.

Blaugrana intentionally wanted to recruit Neymar. Reportedly, Barca has made financial sacrifices by preparing 150 million euros, plus an additional 20 million euros from Neymar, as well as the transfer of Ivan Rakitic, Jean Clair Todibo, and the loan of Ousmane Dembele. However, the proposal was flatly rejected by PSG.

Les Parisiens received nothing but a transfer of 300 million euros – an increase from 222 million euros which was Neymar’s record transfer in 2017.

“Neymar can leave, but there is only a big offer: 300 million euros,” said PSG President, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, hearing Neymar’s transfer rumors for the first time.

Neymar’s soap opera has indeed been a hot topic of conversation that tends to be boring this summer. Especially after the 27-year-old player was reserved by Thomas Tuchel, plus ruined his relationship with fans through his comments (about Barcelona’s comeback over PSG in the Champions League).

Neymar was even linked with Juventus and involved Paulo Dybala. A meeting between PSG and Barcelona officials also took place to discuss the special issue of Neymar’s transfer – attended by Al-Khelaifi in person.

But in the end until the European summer transfer window 2019 closed, nothing happened. Neymar failed to return to the club which he had strengthened in 2013-2017. Nevertheless according to Sport-English, Barca will try to bring him back in 2020.

Barca has proven successful in recruiting the players they desire through patience. This has been tested in the transfer case of Philippe Coutinho – although in the end the player had failed at Camp Nou and is now on loan at Bayern Munchen. Barcelona failed to bring in Coutinho in the summer of 2017, however, in the end the player left in January 2018 from Liverpool with a tag of 142 million pounds. The same case could continue to occur to his compatriot, Neymar
