DBasia.news – Several matches continued for elite European matches and other competitions in the 2022-2023 season. Big teams like AC Milan and Barcelona also took part.
Barcelona won a dramatic victory when they traveled to Osasuna’s headquarters. The Blaugrana closed the game with a 2-1 victory despite being behind first.
Osasuna had indeed made a breakthrough at the beginning of the match. David Garcia was able to break into Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s goal in the sixth minute.
The situation became more difficult for Barcelona after having to play with ten players since the 31st minute. Robert Lewandowski received a second yellow card for being deemed to have elbowed Garcia.
The controversial incident occurred at the end of the first half. Gerard Pique, who was a substitute in this match, received a straight red card for protesting loudly to the referee.
But in the midst of this difficult situation, Barcelona showed a winning mentality. Xavi Hernandez’s side turned things around with goals from Pedri (48′) and Raphinha (85′).
An additional three points make Barcelona firmly at the top of the standings. Their position will also not be displaced until the 2022 World Cup title ends.
From Serie A, Milan failed to keep the distance with Napoli at the top of the standings. This was after Stefano Pioli’s team were only able to draw 0-0 when they traveled to Cremonese headquarters.
Milan actually appear dominant in this match. The Rossoneri also scored a goal through the action of Divock Origi in the 56th minute.
But the goal was disallowed by VAR because the striker was caught offside first. The score to a goalless draw finally lasted until the game was over.
Unfortunately, Napoli was able to pick full points at almost the same time. Il Partenopei managed to beat Empoli with a score of 2-0 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.
This result makes Napoli increasingly firmly at the top of the standings with 38 points. Their distance with Milan who became the closest competitor widened to eight points.
However, a poor finishing made it difficult for the visitors to find the net for Cremonese.
Even so, Milan had time to break the deadlock through the action of Divock Origi in the 56th minute. However, this goal was disallowed by VAR.
