Barcelona Meets Neymar’s Father: Discusses Tangled Transfers and Loyalty Bonuses

DBasia.news – Barcelona is known to have held a secret meeting with Neymar in 2019. The two sides discussed the transfer saga and the loyalty bonus demanded by Neymar to Barcelona.
Barcelona continues to be reported to want to bring Neymar back to Camp Nou. El Barca rates, the decision to release Neymar to Paris Saint-Germain in 2017 was a mistake. Moreover, the substitutes brought by Barcelona were still unsatisfactory.
Mundo Deportivo proclaimed, Barcelona had a meeting with Neymar’s agent and father, Neymar Sr., in September 2019. The meeting was held in private and were only known by both parties. At that time, Barcelona was represented directly by the president, Josep Maria Bartomeu.
Even though it was concealed, it was still discovered. A source from Barcelona stated, Neymar’s problem was postponed and the next meeting would soon be held.
The second meeting took place in November 2019. Again, Barcelona and Neymar held a private and secret negotiations.
Mundo Deportivo believes that the meeting discussed the matter of Neymar’s claims in court regarding a loyalty bonus of 26 million euros. Barcelona wants Neymar to drop the demand before completing a transfer with Paris Saint-Germain.
Instead, Neymar has asked Barcelona to make a guarantee they would bring the player to the 2020 summer transfer window.
However, Barcelona rejected the conditions offered by Neymar. Barca believes that it would be risky if they met Neymar’s request. As Barca are able to get demands from PSG because negotiations with Neymar were not in time.
As a result, the meeting did not produce a result. However, Barcelona is predicted to do other ways to be able to bring Neymar home.
