Barcelona prepare funds for the winter transfer market

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Barcelona are facing the winter transfer market with confidence. The coach, Xavi Hernandez has the opportunity to obtain funds to strengthen his squad.

The winter transfer market is indeed an opportunity for Barcelona to improve. Their current player material is not enough to make El Barca able to compete in the title race.

This can be seen from the results achieved by Barcelona in the first half of the 2021-2022 season. Memphis Depay and his team were stranded in eighth place in the LaLiga standings and were eliminated from the Champions League.

Xavi’s presence was not enough to make Barcelona rise instantly. He needs additional quality players to apply his game philosophy.

Initially Barcelona was believed unable to do much in the next winter transfer market. That’s because they are still in a financial crisis.

But a revelation has started to appear. Joan Laporta as club president is trying hard to find additional funds from sponsorship deals.

According to Sport reports, Laporta is discussing with CVC Capital Partners regarding an investment fund. The agreement between the two parties is even closer.

This became interesting because Barcelona had refused CVC assistance last summer. At that time it was LaLiga’s operator who received investment funds from CVC and distributed it to all clubs from the top two divisions.

Unfortunately, at that time Barcelona, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid rejected the agreement. They object to the obligation to pay 10% of profits per season over a 50-year period.

Now Barcelona hassoftened after CVC wanted to negotiate the payment of these benefits. This is what makes the agreement process progress.

It is still unknown whether Barcelona and CVC’s negotiations still involve LaLiga. What is clear, Xavi can more freely target a player if an agreement between the two parties immediately occurs.
