Barcelona without Messi Follows Madrid without Ronaldo

By db-admin

DBasia.news – For Real Madrid, the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most painful events in the team’s history. However, interestingly, now Barcelona are following the same path as what Los Blancos did after Ronaldo’s departure. Now, Barca also lost the superstar, Lionel Messi.

Messi and Ronaldo not only represent an era in football, but also in LaLiga. Both entrenched for a long time at the top of the best players.

However, Los Merengues had to lose Ronaldo four seasons ago who chose to go to Juventus. Now, Karim Benzema takes on the role of the main goal machine, although on the other hand, Vinicius Junior and Rodrygo Goes are starting to help.

Meanwhile, for Barcelona, they are just entering the beginning of the storm. Lionel Messi, who has been the leader and supporter of the club, refused to sign a new contract and continue his career at Paris Saint-Germain.

Madrid suffered a double blow in the summer of 2018 with the loss of Ronaldo and Zinedine Zidane. Instead, Madrid appointed Julen Lopetegui as the new tactician.

However, Lopetegui only lasted two months and was sacked on October 29. Interestingly, Ronald Koeman also suffered the same fate after being kicked out just two months after the season started or to be precise on October 27.

Without Ronaldo, Los Blancos’ attacks have become sluggish. The same thing happened to Barcelona. Los Cules have suffered five defeats and three draws in 13 games earlier this season in various competitions.

Barcelona have only won two in the last seven matches. The result is similar to what Lopetegui did with Madrid, who went through the initial five games without winning.

Messi and Ronaldo also guarantee an average of 50 goals per season. Unfortunately, the goal machine is gone.

Los Blancos scored 21 goals in 14 games under Lopetegui. That way, the average is 1.5 goals per game.

On the other hand, Ronald Koeman’s Barcelona scored 16 goals in 13 matches. The average goal per game achieved by Barca is not much different from Madrid, which is 1.2 goals.
