DBasia.news – James Rodriguez is anxiously waiting for Bayern Munchen’s decision when this season ends. On loan by Real Madrid since last season with the buyout clause, James’ contract could be not extended at the end of 2018/2019 season.
No one can make sure what will happen at the end of the 2018-2019 season. There’s a buyout clause worth 42 million euro that Bayern could activate to recruit the Envigado Academy alumni.
Considering his contribution last season with 8 goals and 14 assists of all competitions, James’ contract could be permanent. Moreover, last season Bayern won the Bundesliga for the sixth times.
But, there is also the chance that Bayern won’t make the 27-year-old player’s contract permanent. According to Kicker, Bayern try to regenerate the squad and the board of directors is ready to spend 200 million euro to reconstruct Bayern, including recruiting the talented young players.
“They would rather spend this money on emerging talent like Pavard or Eintracht forward Luka Jovic rather than James,” Marca wrote.
The difficulty to ensure Bayern board of directors is happening. Currently, he has a ligament injury at the right time. Apparently, he faces a difficulty to play regularly this season under Niko Kovac.
The injury and inconsistency of James make it more difficult for him to stay at Allianz Arena. James moved to Bayern since last season because he seldom plays in Madrid. If he gets the similar situation in Bayern just like now, perhaps James will leave soon.
