Bayern Munich torn about signing Cristiano Ronaldo

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Currently, Bayern Munich has rejected the opportunity to bring in CR7. But Die Roten didn’t just ignore the star.

Ronaldo’s name suddenly became the talk of the transfer market this summer. It could not be separated from his insistence on leaving Manchester United.

Ronaldo has reportedly asked Manchester United officials to let him leave on his contract with one year remaining. The desire to continue playing in the Champions League is one of the reasons for the former Juventus player.

Rumors of Ronaldo emerged after Jorge Mendes as the player’s agent helped push CR7’s departure from Old Trafford. He offered his clients to a number of big clubs.

Munich is believed to be one of the big clubs that Mendes contacted. But the German giants finally refused as they considered Ronaldo to not be in accordance with their philosophy.

Ronaldo’s high salary is considered to be the main reason for Munich rejecting Ronaldo’s presence. The Bundesliga ruler does have strict rules regarding player wages.

Even so, Munich did not simply reject the presence of Ronaldo. In fact, a special meeting was held by the management to discuss this issue.

“We discussed Cristiano Ronaldo internally. I consider him one of the greatest footballers ever,” Munich director Oliver Kahn told Bild.

“Then we came to the conclusion that, despite the appreciation for Cristiano, he would not fit our philosophy in the current situation.”

Ronaldo was linked with Munich for a reason. He is considered the most suitable replacement for Robert Lewandowski.

Even though he has aged, Ronaldo’s goal productivity is still above average. Last season, he was able to score 24 goals in 38 matches in all competitions with Manchester United.
