Bayern Munich wants to sign Ajax’s young midfielder

The three, according to a report by Telegraff writer Mike Verweij, had a ‘secret’ meeting with Mino Raiola, the agent of young Ajax midfielder, Ryan Gravenberch. The news was confirmed by Fabrizio Romano.

“After meeting with Mino Raiola and discussing personal terms, FC Bayern is now making an opening offer for Ryan Gravenberch, as reported by Mike Verweij on the Telegraaf,” Romano said.

“The offer is thought to be at €25 million, Ajax want more, but the conversation will continue in the coming days or weeks.”

Ajax allegedly wants €25-40 million for the player. Only 19 years old, Erik ten Hag has trusted Gravenberch this season with a record of 37 matches in all competitions and scoring two goals and six assists.

Based on data from Whoscored, the Dutch midfielder has the power to provide key passes, wins aerial duels, shoots long distances, has good focus, and is great at passing the ball.

Gravenberch also likes to play short balls and does not hesitate to take the decision to shoot speculative shots.

At a very young age Gravenberch was made part of Bayern’s long-term plans to regenerate the squad.  If he comes, he will add depth to a midfield that already has Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka, Corentin Tolisso, Marc Roca, Jamal Musiala and Marcel Sabitzer.
