DBasia.news –  Arsenal interim coach, Freddie Ljungberg, said that Bukayo Saka was upset about the wingback position given in the match against Standard Liege earlier this morning. However, Arsenal was held to a draw by Standard Liege on the final matchday of the Europa League group stage thanks to Bukayo Saka’s appearance.

In the party against Standard Liege, Saka did look slick in the wingback position. The 18-year-old was also successful in packing one goal and one assist that succeeded in making Arsenal take home a point from Belgium.

“I think Bukayo Saka was a little disappointed because he was installed as a wingback in the match. He did not really like the role. But, he is a very talented young player,” Freddie Ljungberg said in a post-match press conference session.

“Saka always manages to send mature passes and repeatedly endanger the opponent’s goal. I also realize that Saka has a very good final settlement ability,” Ljungberg added.

Furthermore, Ljungberg also opened up opportunities to bring down Saka and other Gunners young players in subsequent matches. According to him, the Arsenal youngsters really need 90 minutes of playing experience.

“I want to give youngsters the chance to play so they get experience. I already know how much talent they have. But, they still really need experience. In that match, some young players did make mistakes. But, they will not repeat it in the future,” said Ljungberg.
