Bellerin’s Support for Ozil As He Retired from Germany National Team
By news-admin
DBasia.news – Arsenal midfielder, Mesut Ozil, decided to retire from Germany national team. His friends supported Ozil’s decision.
Surprising news came from Mesut Ozil on Sunday (22/7). The Turkey midfielder decided to retire from Germany national team.
The decision was taken after Ozil got criticized from the supporters. Ozil couldn’t stand the unfair critics.
Mesut Ozil was blamed for the failure of Germany national team during the 2018 World Cup. Ozil failed to bring Germany national team to qualify the group phase in that competition.
Germany fans assumed Mesut Ozil didn’t have any belonging to the nation. This assumption came after Ozil took a picture with Turkey’s president Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Apparently, his decision was supported by the teammates. Hector Bellerin, his teammate in Arsenal was the first who said the support.
The Spanish right defender wrote the support in his social media. Bellerin believed Mesut Ozil did a reasonable action.
“Surreal that someone who has done so much for his country on and off the pitch has been treated with such disrespect,” Bellerin wrote.
Another support was also given by his teammate in Germany national team, Jerome Boateng. Boateng who had his debut with Mesut Ozil was proud of the Arsenal player’s decision.
Boateng uploaded a photo with Mesut Ozil in his social media account and wrote, “One of the best I’ve played against. Thanks. Mister assist.”
