The match between Real Madrid and Liverpool will be held at the Stade de France, France, on Sunday (29/05) at 02.00 WIB. This is like a rematch of the final which was held in Ukraine four years ago.

At that time Liverpool lost 1-3 to Madrid through Benzema’s goals and Gareth Bale’s two goals. In addition, Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was injured after fighting for the ball with Sergio Ramos, who is now defending PSG.

Benzema will be in the spotlight of Liverpool’s defense as this season is practically the best season for the 34-year-old striker, both from a personal standpoint or in obtaining trophies. Benzema has scored 44 goals and provided 15 assists in 45 matches in all competitions.

In his career, Benzema has won four Champions League titles. No doubt facing the Champions League final later the former Olympique Lyonnais striker will not feel the pressure.

“I will play the final on Saturday but I will not feel the pressure. The only pressure I have is waiting to come out on the pitch. It disappeared as soon as I left,” Benzema told Madrid’s official website.

“The preparation is the same. We have to enjoy ourselves and we want to make the fans happy. We are in good shape, focused, preparing for the rest of the week until Saturday. No pressure, we have to enjoy it.”

Benzema also shared his comments on how to beat Liverpool, a team that has won the League Cup and FA Cup titles and is one of the toughest teams in Europe. The comeback experience against PSG, Chelsea and Manchester City will be important for Madrid.

“They are a great team. They haven’t changed much in the last four or five years. They have a good coach but we have to focus on our own game.”

“We play PSG, Chelsea and City, who are favourites. We are full of confidence going to Paris. Anything can happen in the final. You are away from home, they really put pressure on you. We have to be able to dig in and play at the break, or defending the ball, depending on how they play.”
