Benzema: One Day Kylian Mbappe Will Play for Real Madrid

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Karim Benzema said he was happy to be playing alongside Kylian Mbappe on the front lines of the French national team. Benzema hopes that his compatriot will soon play with him at Real Madrid.

Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid was widely discussed throughout the summer transfer window, with his contract at Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) due to expire on June 30, 2022. But Los Blancos’ offer was not enough for the French giants to let the 22-year-old forward.

Benzema worked closely with Mbappe in France’s attack as his country drew Qatar’s 2022 World Cup qualifiers against Bosnia and Herzegovina. The 33-year-old forward expressed his confidence in Mbappe’s future after the match.

“He is a player who will one day play for Real Madrid. We get along very well and I want him to be with me at Madrid,” Benzema was quoted as saying by Marca.

Benzema’s comments come after he also spoke about his desire to play alongside Mbappe at Real Madrid during his first press conference after his return to the France squad.

“I don’t know what will happen, but Mbappe will be accepted at Real Madrid. He is a player who has all the qualities to become a Real Madrid player in the future,” Benzema said.

After the match against Bosnia, Mbappe was sent home from the French training camp due to injury and will soon undergo a recovery with PSG.
