Big Mistake for Manchester United to Release Alexis Sanchez to Inter Milan

DBasia.news –  Manchester United striker, Alexis Sanchez, has the chance to leave to follow Romelu Lukaku at Inter Milan.

“It has been confirmed: Inter are negotiating with Man United for Alexis Sanchez. The loan scheme until June 2020 plus a purchase option of 15 million euros,” stated the Italian transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano.

“A part of his salary will also be paid by Man United. Alexis has asked the club and also (Ole Gunnar) Solskjaer to join Inter. Now it all depends on Man United’s decision.”

The decision is now in the hands of the Red Devils. If you view the performance that only incised five goals since joining from Arsenal in January 2018, Sanchez is indeed worthy of being given the opportunity to play at another club.

However, letting him go now would be a big blunder for Man United. They have sold Lukaku to the Nerazzurri leaving only Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial, Mason Greenwood and Sanchez as strikers.

Without Sanchez, Rashford and Martial would be a mainstay because Greenwood is too young (17 years) to bear the burden of United’s spearhead. Two strikers will not be enough to navigate the length of the 2019-20 season.

Not to mention United would be playing in the Europa League this season. Assuming one – or worse two – players are injured or accumulated cards, United will really run out of attackers.

The summer transfer window in the UK is has come to an end. Man United can no longer recruit or borrow players in place of Sanchez – an exception for attackers who do not have a club at the moment (free transfer).

So, United’s management should think twice before lending Sanchez to Inter. Moreover, Solskjaer has expressed his intention and hope to give Sanchez more chances to play this season.

“Alexis is a true professional. He comes to work every day and works very hard. He wants to be part of this squad,” explained Solskjaer.

“Stories like this are common – of course he doesn’t want to (move from United). He’s part of our squad and he’s a very good player. He’s a few weeks behind (fitness of other players), but he’s very close to being part of it. “

“We don’t have a big striker up front, so Alexis will probably play more than you predicted. We expect him to give the best with this club. He is qualified,” concluded Solskjaer.
