DBasia.news – With the contract remaining one season and the chances of Brescia staying in Serie A are slim, Tonali’s chance to move at the end of the season is wide open.
“Barcelona has € 65 million plus two young players, each worth € 7.5 million. One of them is a defender,” Cellino told Corriere dello Sport, Monday (1/6).
“I think the Catalunya club officials received a response they did not like [rejection]. However, not from Tonali,” he stated.
“Inter Milan and Juventus are Tonali’s favorite clubs. Napoli also offered us € 40 million, even directly from [Aurelio] Laurentiis [club president],” he added.
Tonali is staying as one of the wonderkids in Italian Serie A. The 20-year-old Italian player is a mainstay of Brescia in the last three seasons.
“I really like President Cellino and he really appreciates me. He is a great person and I hope everything can go well with him, “said Tonali, some time ago.
“He even stated that he would never sell me for € 300 million, but that did not burden me, even though it was a lot of money,” he concluded.
According to local Italian media, Tonali’s playing style is considered a fusion of three legends, namely Andrea Pirlo, Daniele De Rossi, and Gennaro Gattuso.
