Bruno Fernandes brushes off the issue of him liking to find penalty kicks

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Manchester United midfielder, Bruno Fernandes was reluctant to comment on the views linking him to looking for penalty kicks. According to him, it has become common for someone to state that.

Bruno Fernandes raised the quality of Manchester United’s game in the last year. He became the center of the Red Devils’ attack.

However, amidst the increasing performance, criticism has also emerged. It is said that Bruno Fernandes can only score goals from the white point.

“I do not listen to these criticisms. I also do not care about it,” said Fernandes as reported by Goal.

“I really don’t care what people think. In Portugal, when I played for Sporting, the Benfica and Porto fans always said things like that.”

This season, the Portuguese player has packed 15 goals and nine assists. Seven of them were created from the white spot.

“However, for me the most important thing is when I get a penalty and when appointed as the executor, I have to do the job,” he continued.

Bruno Fernandes considered it was not easy to be a penalty executioner. He gave an example when Raheem Sterling was the executioner.

“A few days ago I read the news that Raheem Sterling failed to execute three penalties. It shows that being a penalty taker is not as easy as people think,” Fernandes said.

“That doesn’t mean Sterling is a bad penalty taker. However, a situation like this can happen. That situation could happen to me. The most important thing is to take the opportunity and not listen to other people. Penalties are part of the game.”
