Bruno Fernandes Feels Manchester United Doesn’t Deserve to be Matched by Aston Villa

DBasia.news – Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes was disappointed after failing to beat Aston Villa in the match week 22 of the Premier League 2021-2022 at Villa Park, Saturday (15/1). In fact, the Red Devils had a two-goal lead first.

Bruno Fernandes performed brilliantly by scoring two goals for Manchester United in the 6th minute and 67th minute. However, Villa came back and equalized to make it 2-2 through Jacob Ramsey (77′) and Philippe Coutinho (81′).

Bruno Fernandes feels Manchester United failed to bring home the three points because they were less cruel in front of the opponent’s goal.

“I think we had a chance to score more goals. Got the third goal and finished the game,” Fernandes said as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

“But in the end we didn’t get any counter-attacks or accurate passes. Villa had the quality to score goals and managed to do it. We played just as strong.”

In the end, Manchester United hit its own rock. Villa who found space took the opportunity and equalized. In fact, Villa had more accurate shots, namely nine versus six.

“When you give them space when they have good quality, you get hurt.”

“In my opinion, our performance was better than the results obtained. We controlled the game better than before. We deserved more. However, we were unlucky,” explained the midfielder.

An additional one point makes Manchester United unable to push into the Champions League zone. Currently, Man United is in seventh place with 32 points.
