Calhanoglu talks about his steaming relations with AC Milan Fans

By db-admin

DBasia.news – The Derby della Madoninna between AC Milan and Inter Milan at the San Siro, Monday (08/11) early closes week 12 of Serie A 2021-2022 before the international break in November.

The match ended in a 1-1 draw between the defending Serie A champions against Milan who have not been defeated in Italy this season. Hakan Calhanoglu’s penalty (11′) for Inter was met by Stefan de Vrij’s own goal (17′).

Like the Derby della Madoninna in previous editions, this new derby also has a story after Calhanoglu scored. The celebration he did ended his relationship with Milan.

Calhanoglu put his hands to his ears and stared at the Curva Sud where the Milan fans were, as if to challenge them to sound even louder and whistled.

As is known, the 27-year-old player spent four years of his career at Milan (2017-2021), scoring 32 goals in 172 matches there, before heading to Inter for free as he did not renew his contract at Milan.

Calhanoglu’s salary increased by 500,000 euros from when he played for Milan. His celebration at the Derby della Madoninna confirmed the end of Calhanoglu’s relationship with the Rossoneri. It was also the climax of the relationship.

The breakdown in Calhanoglu’s relationship has been seen after leaving Milan. According to him, it’s only Stefano Pioli, the Milan coach, who wants the former Bayer Leverkusen player to stay at Milan.

“It’s understandablefor the fans to be upset, but I’m not the first to do this and I won’t be the last, because many players have gone from Milan to Inter, or vice versa,” Calhanoglu told DAZN some time ago.

“I just want to see my future, with all due respect to Milan. I did a lot for Milan for four years, I respect everyone, but I have a new chapter at Inter and have to look forward now.”

“Pioli was the only one who really wanted me at Milan. I spoke to him many times, but he respects my decision and wishes me the best.”

Calhanoglu in September also had no problem with Milan fans asking for autographs and taking pictures together in the streets, but when asked if he would celebrate when he scored against his former club, he replied that he did so in a casual manner.

Unfortunately, at the Derby della Madoninna Calhanoglu was provocative with his celebrations that severed his permanent relationship with the Milan fans. Even Milan player, Alessandro Florenzi did not like him and had approached him before returning to the bench.

Most Milan fans don’t really like Calhanoglu, but with the player’s attitude it breaks the pre-existing relationship. Calhanoglu, like Gianluigi Donnarumma, is seen as judas by Milan fans.
