Carlo Ancelotti Explains Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale Situation at Real Madrid
By db-admin
DBasia.news – Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti says there is nothing wrong with Eden Hazard and Gareth Bale. It’s just that they lose competitiveness in the team, so they are rarely played.
Madrid are also still fighting for the La Liga, Copa del Rey and Champions League titles. The return of Carlo Ancelotti who coached in the second period raised the spirit of Madrid.
Coupled with the fact that there are still senior players in the Madrid squad, the team is on track to snatch the remaining trophies. However, there are still questions about their two star players: Gareth Bale and Eden Hazard.
Hazard has only played 16 times this season with a total of 722 minutes, while Bale is even worse, with 193 minutes from three games. Given the big names of both, rarely played Bale and Hazard raises questions.
Bale and Hazard were rumored to be leaving, but it was also reported that they did not have the confidence to play from Ancelotti. Commenting on the rare appearance of Bale and Hazard, Ancelotti spoke up.
The Italian coach denied there was a problem with both. Bale and Hazard rarely play because it is purely a technical decision from the intense competition in Madrid’s main squad.
“Nothing happened (with Hazard). The only (problem) is that there is competition in the team and I have to choose the best (player) in every game. It affects a lot of players, I can’t deny it,” explained Ancelotti, quoted by Marca.
“Nothing happened, (Hazard) is training and waiting for the coach to call. I think he will be ready when he plays. Currently he is still a Real Madrid player. He is training and he is focused. We have nothing left to think about.”
“Nothing strange happened (with Bale and Hazard), it’s just that there is competition and the coach, which is me, has to choose the best (line-up) for every game.”
“I try to be fair and choose the best. Sometimes you are very good and you don’t play. I also spoke about Nacho (Fernandez), Marcelo, (Dani) Ceballos, Isco, (Luka) Jovic,” he explained.
