Carlo Ancelotti opens up about Sergio Ramos’ fate at Real Madrid
By db-admin
DBasia.news – The re-appointment of Carlo Ancelotti as coach is believed to affect the fate of a number of Real Madrid players. One that continues to be speculated is Sergio Ramos.
Ramos’ contract with Real will expire at the end of this month. The club’s management efforts to extend his tenure have not yielded results.
Madrid appears to have resigned and ready to lose Ramos. That was after Los Blancos brought in David Alaba from Bayern Munich.
Ancelotti himself chose to be careful in responding to Ramos’ situation. But he seemed unsure of being able to keep the captain.
“With regards to Sergio Ramos, I have just arrived and I have to speak to the club about all this. I cannot imagine Real Madrid without Carlo Ancelotti but it has happened so we all have to accept it,” said Ancelotti on the club’s official website.
“What I know is that Real Madrid will try to win every competition and we will do it with the best squad.”
“I know there is talk of an update, but I don’t know the details because I was at Liverpool until yesterday,” he added.
From this statement, Ancelotti signaled that he was ready to lose Ramos. His chances of surviving seem to have been closed.
This is certainly a positive signal for other clubs who are interested in asking for Ramos. They just have to prepare an offer to attract the interest of the former Sevilla player.
