DBasia.news – The former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho thinks Petr Cech has a fantastic career. He feels sorry to hear that the Czech Republic goalkeeper would retire by this season.

“I am honored to have been the manager that, at such an early age, gave Petr a top Premier League number one shirt,” Mourinho said.

Cech announced his retirement this season. He announced it through his Twitter account.

Mourinho really knows Cech. They collaborated in Chelsea for two periods. Mourinho was the person who found him during his early career.

The 36-year-old goalkeeper arrived at Stamford Bridge at 2004. He came as one of the world’s best young goalkeepers and had his debut when Chelsea defeated Manchester United in August 2004.

“After that day, it is all about him. All about his numbers, his performances, his clean sheets, his titles, and his professionalism. It’s a big loss for football but history can’t be deleted. Many congratulations on such an amazing career,” Mourinho added.
