DBasia.news –  Cesc Fabregas said there was an offer from Real Madrid when he played for Arsenal. But, Fabregas refused to stay in Arsenal.

Cesc Fabregas joined Arsenal at the age of 16. Continued to be forged under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger, Fabregas was transformed as one of the best midfielders in Europe.

Inevitably, many European elite clubs are attracted to Cesc Fabregas. In fact, Real Madrid has tried hard to get the player’s signature.

However, Fabregas chose to stay at Arsenal. The player who is now defending AS Monaco still feels indebted to the Gunners.

“They (Real Madrid) contacted me more than once or twice. The first time when I was young. I was 18 years old and they offered me a big salary. However, I felt like I belong to Arsenal,” Fabregas told AS.

“Arsene Wenger is risking his career on me. I cannot leave. However, I will always thank Real Madrid for the way they treated me,” he continued.

“When I was 23 years old and suffered a calf injury, they sent me a very good message.”

Although able to reject Real Madrid, Fabregas could not stem Barcelona’s offer. In the end, Fabregas headed for Camp Nou in the summer of 2011.

“I am grateful for their interest. However, I always dreamed of playing for Barcelona. If I have decided with a reason, everything is good enough for me,” Fabregas said.

Cesc Fabregas appeared in 306 matches with Arsenal. He packed 59 goals and 92 assists. During Arsenal’s defense, Fabregas won several titles such as the FA Cup and the English League Super Cup.
