DBasia.news – Last weekend, Premier League lovers witnessed the premium match of two derbies, the North London between Arsenal against Tottenham Hotspur and Merseyside Derby between Liverpool and Everton, Sunday (2/12).
Liverpool proved their superiority against Everton and won 1-0. The three points achieved after the only goal from the substitute player, Divock Origi at 90+6′. He utilized the blunder of Jordan Pickford.
Couldn’t believe that the team locked the victory in the last minute of the match, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp celebrated it way too emotional and exaggerating by entering the pitch and hugging the goalkeeper, Alisson Becker.
Many parties criticize this. The Germany manager was accused of not respecting Everton manager, Marco Silva. FA also charged Klopp £8,000.
After apologizing, the 50-year-old manager stated that he won’t celebrate The Reds victory with exaggerated celebration and entering the pitch. Klopp admits that he didn’t regret that action.
“No, I don’t regret it in a way that it should not have happened,” Klopp said cited by Daily Mail.
“I’m not sure football is all about a manager running on the pitch. I know that I am rather on the jump and on the run when something happens. It’s not for you to change (the laws) and me to explain how the rules are. I did it. I broke a rule, I pay for it,” he added.
Asked whether the Germany manager would do that celebration, Klopp ensured that he thinks it’s enough and won’t repeat the same mistake.
“A fine is there to make you aware and make sure you don’t do it again. Now I know it, I will not do it. There were 14 years between the first (fine, at Mainz in 2004) and the last one. It cannot happen anymore,” said the man who born at Stuttgaart.
