Chelsea advised to sign Cristiano Ronaldo

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Paul Merson advised Chelsea to sign Cristiano Ronaldo from Manchester United this summer.

The former Arsenal midfielder from 1985 to 1997 believes Ronaldo will overcome the problems in front of the Blues, who were considered less sharp against Tottenham Hotspur in the last match.

Ronaldo himself is known to want to move from Old Trafford because of his ambition to appear in the Champions League, and Chelsea can also provide that.

“Chelsea had a great game against Tottenham on Sunday, they dominated the game from start to finish but they didn’t have a goalscorer or centre-forward and that cost them the three points,” Merson wrote in his column on Sky Sports News.

“Despite their dominance, Spurs goalkeeper, Hugo Lloris only made one save. It tells you what to know.

“I can’t believe they’re not after Cristiano Ronaldo. He meets all the criteria that Chelsea don’t have.

“Playing for Chelsea is not like playing for Manchester United, who play from the halfway line. Chelsea are more to the edge of the box, dominating the game.

“Chelsea have incredible wing-backs, they dominated the game. If they send the ball into the box for Ronaldo, I shudder to think how many goals he will score.”

Although he was adamant about moving, Ronaldo finally started a new season with United.

He had become a bench warmer when his team lost 2-1 in the first week against Brighton, but lost again when playing from the start at Brentford headquarters.

At Old Trafford, the Portugal international player is under contract until June 2023, and the club can extend it for another year.
