Chelsea are excited to find a new striker

By db-admin

DBasia.news – Chelsea are currently looking for a new striker, and the name Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang from Barcelona has been linked with the Blues in recent days.

Although previously, the player from Gabon had revealed that he was still at Camp Nou, the Blues are still trying to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

The Londoners are looking to reunite Auba with current club manager Thomas Tuchel, with whom they worked together at Borussia Dortmund between 2015 and 2017.

European transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano reports that Chelsea are still discussing a possible transfer of Auba from Barca.

However, apart from the striker, the Blues are also working on several other transfers.

“Chelsea are working on several deals. Talks with Wesley Fofana have reached an agreement, after two rejections; Pierre Aubameyang is being discussed as an option since last week but there has been no official offer to Barca,” Romano wrote on his personal Twitter.

“A new offer is expected soon for the 2003-born Inter Milan wonderkid Cesare Casadei.”

Auba joined Barca in January after his contract was terminated by Arsenal, and he immediately made a positive impact on the Catalan team with 13 goals in 23 appearances in Spain.

However, with Barca’s current situation, which requires them to throw players out or cut the salaries of some players to be able to register their new players, it makes the Catalan Team have to work extra hard.

In the striker position, Barca currently have a number of names, Robert Lewandowski, Memphis Depay, Martin Braithwaite and Auba, and Xavi Hernandez reportedly only wants two centre-forwards in his squad.

Memphis is currently being linked with Italian giants Juventus, while Braithwaite has been pushed to find a new club, but no agreement has been reached with any club so far.

And whether Auba will leave or not, what is clear is that Lewy is certainly Xavi’s first choice for the 2022/23 season.
